Opened in November 2021, this is a temporary stadium that was made from 974 recycled shipping containers, but also represents the international dialing code for Qatar. The stadium hosted 5 matches in the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, including one of the semi finals and the third place play off. Formally known as the Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, following the conclusion of this winter’s World Cup, the stadium is due to be dismantled and materials reused as a waterfront development for the local community.
